Octopus arms number

Most octopuses have eight arms, which is why they are commonly referred to as "octopuses". However, some species of octopuses may have fewer arms due to injury or natural variation, while others may have more than eight arms due to a rare genetic mutation. In fact, a species called the "Giant Pacific Octopus" (Enteroctopus dofleini) is known to have up to 16 arms!
